The llamas and sheep have arrived!

Good afternoon!

I just wanted to give you a photo update of the sheepies and llamas.  Maggie and I drove to the llama farm yesterday.  We helped give shots, wormer, watched them clip toenails, and I picked out my two Shetland sheep.  Then we loaded the whole party up in the trailer and headed back to the farm.  Everyone seemed to settle in just fine.  It was a little windy, and pretty cold last night so today Brian is putting a wind blocker up on part of the shed.

Here are some photos from yesterday.

And some from today...

They all appear to be doing well. We got four big bales of corn stalks for bedding put in the shed behind the new wall.  It's supposed to be really cold until the weekend... but then sunny and in the low 40's!

On another note... if you've been wanting to buy some pottery, or on the fence about buying pottery, check back tomorrow afternoon for a special sale I'm running for the holidays. :)

Ok, you DO understand that I will now accost you with questions!

1. Are the sheep Corrine's? I know you were looking at Sheepie's sheep.

2. Was that Papa feeding them in the 2 middle pictures?

3. Are you still getting a cow?

4. Are you tired of my questions yet!

Yay! Good dreams coming true!

Hey Zan! Answers! :)
1. No, these are not Corinne's sheep. These came from the same place the llamas came from, but it'll be hard to stop me from buying some of Corinne's sheepies next summer. ;)
2. Yep! That's my Pa! He likes the llamas. :)
3. Yes, still getting the cow.. next spring.
4. Nope! Not tired of questions yet. Have any more? :D

You're right.. good dreams do come true. :)

You look so happy and proud! I hope one day i can knit a scarf from your furry friends. Spun and dyed by Maggie! How awesome that would be!

Haha...yes, more questions:

When do I get to work with the fiber from these guys?

Do you think a sheep will fit into a suitcase?

Do you think YOU and Brian can fit in a suitcase? :D

They'll keep their fuzz until next spring when we can shear them. :)

The sheep will probably not fit in a suitcase. Clyde likes to ram things too, that might be a problem. ;)

If I could skip the airfare by fitting in a suitcase, I'd absolutely do it... Brian gets claustrophobic, so probably not. ;)
